Welcome to the Rotary Club of Jenkintown !

A community volunteer organization dedicated to service in our neighborhood ... and around the world.

The Rotary Club of Jenkintown

Our club has a long and distinguished history of service in Jenkintown.  Our members are community leaders in business and the professions who volunteer their time and resources to help others in our local community, our region, our nation, and our world.

The Rotary Club of Jenkintown is part of a global network of 32,403 rotary clubs in 168 different countries around the world with a total of over 1.2 million members.  While our club is run as an independent entity, it cooperates and participates in many charitable endeavors with other rotary clubs (locally, nationally, and internationally).

Our membership is dedicated to service to others, high ethical standards in
our business and personal lives, and improvement of the human condition.  Our club is. therefore, also dedicated to following the same principles in club conduct
All Rotarians pledge to follow these ethical standards:

Information on Meetings

Our club has a luncheon meeting every Tuesday from 12:15 PM - 1:30 PM. Each meeting combines a luncheon, social activities, club business, and a presentation by a distinguished guest speaker.  Our speakers present information on a variety of topics of general interest.  A schedule of speakers and topics (past, present, and future) can be found on our events page.

Members may bring guests at any time, and Rotarians from other rotary clubs are warmly welcomed.

The fee for each luncheon meeting is a twelve dollars, which includes a full sit down lunch.  Weekly luncheon meetings are held at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Jenkintown.  Other than renting space from the church, our organization has no other affiliation.  Our meetings and our membership is strictly nonsectarian and welcomes qualified members regardless of religious, ethnic, or cultural background.

Grace Presbyterian Church is located in the heart of Jenkintown -  at the corner of Old York Road (route 611) and Vista Road, across the street from the Jenkintown library.  To find our meeting room, enter through the side doors of the church, which face the parking lot behind the Jenkintown Library.  Parking is available on the street, or in the public library lot.

We Welcome New Members !

Rotarians are business and professional leaders who take an active role in their communities while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives. Our rotary club contains a diverse group of professional leaders from the community served by the club.  Members benefit by: effecting change within their community, developing leadership skills, gaining an understanding of (and having an impact on) international humanitarian issues, and by developing relationships with other community and business leaders.

Qualifications for membership include sound personal character, current or prior work in supervisory or managerial position in any size business, occupation, or profession (including those self- employed), willingness to accept an obligation to participate in club activities and to attend weekly luncheon meetings.  Our club welcomes people with diverse interests regardless of their cultural, religious, ethnic, or personal background.

The Rotary Club of Jenkintown is looking for qualified individuals with an interest in community service in the local, regional, national, and international arenas.  For more information click the "Membership Info" tab on the left side of this web page.
