ROTARY DISTRICT 7450 EVENING WITH THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES: District Governor Elect Joel Chesney will have his installation evening at the Phillies Game on June 20. A special reception tent will be set up and a tour of the ball park arranged.  (March 18, 2008)

ANNUAL CHANGING OF THE GUARD DINNER: The annual dinner meeting will be held on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at the Manufacturers Country Club.  Attendees always enjoy great facilities

Evening schedule: 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm Cocktails (cash bar), 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Dinner, 7:30 pm Inductions, 8:00 pm - 8:30 pm Live entertainment by Keith Spencer and Amt Teft, who will  perform a medley of romantic songs. 

The dinner menu includes: salad, a dinner featuring either Chicken Marsala or Salmon as the main entree, a fresh green vegetable, tasty potato, and dessert.   Valet parking available.  All of this for a fixed price of only $37.00 per person !

ROTARY FOUNDATION: The Rotary International Foundation has contributed a total of $1.68 billion to programs in fulfillment of the Rotary mission.  A total of $368 million has been contributed to Polio Plus to help immunize over 2 billion children to date (yes, two billion !!).  That is just one of the Rotary International Foundation's many charitable programs devoted to health, education, international understanding, and improving the human condition all around the world - and in our local community.  If you have yet to contribute to the Rotary International Foundation this year, please consider giving to this most worthy Rotary fund.  Contributions are tax deductible and every single dollar donated goes for charitable endeavors. PROPOSE A NEW MEMBER: Membership is fundamental to achieving the mission and goals of Rotary International and our own Rotary club.  New members are usually introduced to the club by current members.  Have you encountered a friend, neighbor, or business associate who would be an asset to the Rotary Club of Jenkintown?  If so, please provide their name and phone number to a member of the board, and we will tell them about the benefits of membership. DONATE TO THE FOOD BANK: On the third Tuesday of every month, your Rotary Club collects non-perishable food for contribution to the Jenkintown Food Bank.  Bring in a couple of items from your pantry.  Buy a couple of extra sale items while shopping.  If you have any questions, check with Chris Heaven (215-387-3621). Our very special, gourmet quality, citrus fruit is available to the general public during the Fall and Winter months when superior quality, native grown citrus fruit is in season.  We buy in bulk direct from the grower, but sell to the public considerably below retail prices.  All receipts from citrus sales are donated in full to charitable organizations screened and selected by the club.  For information on order dates, pickup dates, pricing, and varieties available please click hyperlink: Gourmet Citrus Fruit Order & Purchase Information
